Watch What Drugs Should Be Avoided with Sulfa Allergy?
If you are allergic to sulfa drugs, you cannot take medications that have sulfonamides like some antibiotics termed sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim (known popularly as Bactrim or Septra). Also included are medications such as sulfasalazine, some diuretics like furosemide or hydrochlorothiazide, and some diabetes medications like glyburide.
